Our group have been meeting for many years, we would love to have some more members so please come along and find out what we do.

Each month one of us gives a talk on a pre-agreed theme. Last year the theme was, 'the 17th Century' where we had talks on, The 1607 Flood, 17th Century Theatre, Richard Hakcut and the Mayflower and Henry Every-King of the Pirates. Next year we will be having an 'open' topic which means anything goes!

We also have a Christmas lunch which this year will be in February

Some of the topics we have covered in the past

  • Stowmarket Gun Cotton Explosion
  • The 1951 Festival of Britain
  • Tristan de Cunha
  • Kodak
  • Whitfield Kings
  • Ercol
  • Pompeii
  • Parker Pens
  • The Life and Death of Edward II
